Calhoun Beach Club |
The stately and beautiful Calhoun Beach Club needed a sound system that would serve the whole facility. This Twin Cities landmark had never been wired for sound. All new wire runs had to be made without marring the brick and plaster that made up the character of this building. To further complicate the installation, each area needed different types of speakers and program material. The sound system inputs and outputs would also need to be flexible to allow future changes. |

As you enter the building through it's trade mark canopy and walk down the hallway, you hear beautiful, full range sound. It takes a while to notice any speakers. The small Bose cubes are augmented by subwoofers hidden above the curved plaster ceiling. |
You can't see them, but you can hear them.
Walking past the Information desk and the health club information center you will come upon the store that sells clothing. The same Bose high quality sound follows you. |

Moving into the the gym the sound gets markedly different. High energy music with much heavier bass helps motivate customers for serious exercise. |
At the bottom of the stairs is a common lounge area. The sound system covers this area as well as both locker rooms and their adjoining lounge areas. |

Next door is the Boulevard Room and adjoining Library Room. As with the Solarium, the sound system is tailored to the room and the customers needs, Climbing up the stately curved staircase brings you to the Solarium.

The Bose speakers used throughout this project provide the same great sound from room to room. The sound systems for these banquet rooms includes wireless mics. |

| Founded in 1928, the Calhoun Beach Club has hosted countless important events. It is hard to find someone who has not been to a wedding, meeting or seminar in one of these rooms. |
