We first met the good people from St Rose when they called us to repair some of their power amplifiers. They brought us amp after amp to repair. We asked why their sound system had so many power amps. They went on to describe all of the problems they were having. We made a trip to the church to check it out.
We were amazed. There were 12 large bi-amped speakers (24 amp sections!) and extremely complicated electronics and wiring. The sound system was installed by someone who didn't understand how a sound system worked. The previous contractor thought if they installed enough equipment with enough controls it would have to work. |

|
| Good sound system design relies on planned coverage with the minimum number of speakers needed. The amateur design they had was unworkable. We told them they needed a new sound system. |
|
| We carefully measured the room and designed the new system with the help of Bose Modeler® software. This amazing computer program gives detailed information on the acoustics of a room, the speaker coverage and the intelligibility in any seat! |

We then submitted our proposal for a new sound system. After such a bad experience with their previous system, the customer was still hesitant.
We used the Bose Auditioner® audio demonstrator to be to let them actually hear how their new system would sound. We also provided a performance guarantee. This gave them the confidence to move forward. |
|
| We made it easy for their committee to choose us as their sound contractor. We gave them detailed technical information, a demonstration of how the completed system would sound and a guarantee. We were also the lowest price. (One proposal for $250, 000 didn't even include technical data!) |

"We were amazed that you guys were so inexpensive." |

The speakers were much smaller than the previous system. Some of the Bose 402s shown in the picture on the right are highlighted. They blend in so well with the ceiling that most of them are hard to find.
A Shure auto-mixer is used along with a submix for the choir mics. Crown CT amps and a feedback suppression system make the sound stable and clear. The once full equipment rack now houses only four pieces.
The music department loved the fact that we didn't have to make the room "dead" to deliver good intelligibility. |

We solved St Rose of Lima's sound system problems with our experience, Bose speakers and Bose Modeler® software. We proved our design with the Bose Auditioner® audio demonstrator. The performance guarantee that St Rose paid for is now free and is available on any full installation.
